Woof! Woof! for PAWS and Lukas, Too
So, are you wondering who was the recipient of the first two autographed copies of Woof!? I’ve gotten a couple of emails from some of my dearest (and most sarcastic) friends asking me if Lukas Ridgeton enjoyed the copies I sent! Ha!

Lukas will have to buy his own. Or barter.

Those two copies went to PAWS in San Francisco. That acronym stands for Pets Are Wonderful Support and the group reaches out to hundreds of low-income clients living with HIV/AIDS and helps them take care of their pets whenever needed.

PAWS is hosting a fabulous event called Petchitecture 12 at the Westin St. Francis Hotel in Union Square. The books are being auctioned off along with custom pet habitats designed by some of the leading architects and designers in the nation. I’m sitting by the phone waiting to see if the first copy of Woof! beat out the two-storey cha-cha palace (large enough for six Tibetan Terriers). Too much red velvet, even for me!

How much fun is it to be able to take your dog into a beautiful hotel! Petchitecture is a really upscale event and deserves everyone’s support. Plus, dogs and their humans are welcome. I think that’s tits! (The “S” is for “Support” after all.)

I will be hosting a PAWS next month in the Castro (Under One Roof on June 7 at 8 p.m.) A reading and a book signing. It will very Auden. By then there will be lots of books for everyone….including you, Lukas. For information, please call 415-503-2300 or visit us at www.pawssf.org.
